Project

SMILE (Supporting Migrant Women with Learning and Literacy Deficits) project empowers volunteer tutors with new skills to help women with migrant backgrounds overcome learning, writing, and reading deficiencies. Additionally, we aim making language classes more accessible for these women.
In addition, we have also established the objective of enhancing the capacities of tutors and teachers in adult education overall. In this approach, we intend to support diversity and inclusion in the field of education and help migrant women integrate into society.

The idea behind our tutoring program
What particular steps are we taking to carry out the project? Initially, we are developing a digital training program for tutors, which we will eventually offer. The goal is to establish a diverse and inclusive learning environment while also professionalising the roles of volunteer tutors. In alternative terms: The goal of the SMILE project is to improve tutors’ and students’ overall educational competences to a higher level.
