Expert Meetings Held with Stakeholder Institutions as Part of SMILE Project
The implementation of the Erasmus+ KA210-ADU Small-Scale Partnerships in Adult Education project, “Supporting Migrant Women with Learning and Literacy Deficits – SMILE,” is ongoing, being implemented by the Kahramanmaras Olgunlasma Enstitusu and Bit Social.
The project aims training volunteer tutors / learning assistants to support migrant women in addressing their educational deficiencies. Prior to the training program to train these volunteer tutors / learning assistants, meetings are being held with institutions and organizations in the field of teaching Turkish language to foreign learners and in the field of the education of migrants, to obtain expert opinions. In light of these opinions and experiences, the training program will be developed by identifying the specific educational needs of migrant women.
Meetings were held with the following organizations and experts working in the field of teaching Turkish to foreigners and the education of immigrants:

The meetings covered in detail the issues to be considered in the Turkish language learning process for foreigners, including best practices, cultural sharing processes, methodological approaches, and more, and provided specific recommendations.

SMILE Project Partnership Meeting was held in Graz, Austria
The partnership meeting for the Erasmus+ KA210-ADU Small-Scale Partnerships in Adult Education project, “Supporting Migrant Women with Learning and Literacy Deficits (SMILE),” was held in Graz, Austria. The meeting was attended by KOE Director Ayşegül KİRİŞCİ, KOE Deputy Director Ebru GÖÇENER, and Project Manager Cevdet ÜSTÜN representing the Kahramanmaras Olgunlasma Enstitusu. BitSocial Director Michael KVAS and Project Manager Laura WERNIG represented bit social” – Verein zur Förderung von Bildungschancen für Benachteiligte und zur Professionalisierung für Mitarbeiterinnen der Sozialwirtschaft, von Sozialdiensten, der Kinder-, Jugend- und Erwachsenenbildung.
The project, funded by the Turkish National Agency under the Erasmus+ program, aims to train volunteer tutors / learning assistants to support migrant women with learning deficits in the partner regions, focusing on local language education and the transmission of cultural values. In this context, the project partners, who are preparing to develop training programs and modules, established coordination by sharing the results and reports of expert interviews with relevant stakeholders in their regions. To ensure an efficient and successful project implementation, information and documents were exchanged, and technical details were finalized through face-to-face discussions.
